    Re: Not good for BoSox

A lot of Yankees people talk about how the injury bug has hit them....I mean Sheffield and Matsui are big cogs, but lets look at Boston's starting rotation

Schilling--Amazingly dureable coming back from injury plagued last year
Beckett--Amazingly not had the blister issues of the past
    Wakefield--Injured
    Clement-Injured
    Wells-Injured

At the beginning of the season, our closer was Keith Foulke.
Now our catcher. Our centerfielder got hurt out of the gate. Our right fielder combination (Pena/Nixon) have both been hurt and/or out.

I know the Yanks lost some offense, and had some ineffective parts, but honestly, I think the Sox injury list has been more severe just due to having to take guys like Kyle Snyder and Jason Johnson off of waivers. Yeah the Yankees took a flier on Sydney Ponson but part of their issues was career year guys (Small and Chacon) last year.

Neither team looks really good right now.
What we've got here is failure to communicate. Some men you just can't reach, so you get what we had here last week which is the way he wants it. Well, he gets it.

the Sox will be healthy at the right time of the year. if the Yanks can't build a decent lead by the end of August, the Sox will win the division and possible eliminate the Yanks from playoff contention.

You are getting some help behind the plate now for Varitek's absense:

I saw that on ESPN a little earlier. I hope Javy and the Monsta can get real cozy like while Varitek is out.

Yankees will probably give someone cash to sign him just to keep the Sox from getting him.

    Re: Not good for BoSox

Your in the right position right now though. Boston will be ahead of the Yanks on the waiver wire, so they get a shot at him before the Yanks since the Yanks are percentage points ahead of Boston right now.
